How to remove/delete a Fact Flag

Post by rodit » 17 Nov 2021 00:49

I seem to remember a question about this some time back, but can't find it.
I have a Tentative flag set against a death date for an ancestor which has now been confirmed.
How do I delete the Tentative Flag, If I hit Delete it removes the Fact.
From memory, it was a simple procedure.
Regards
Roger

In the property box on the Facts tab, right click on the fact that has the flag you want to remove. Then click on Fact Flags and de-select the flag you no longer want associated with that fact.

Another option is to select the fact and click on the cog wheel at the bottom of the fact list. Then click on Fact Flags and de-select the flag you no longer want associated with that fact.

Basically just do the opposite of what you did to add the fact flag in the first place.

In the help, Search for "fact flag". The first result is "Property Box: Facts Tab". In the section "Fact Flags" it describes how to add and remove them.

Thanks, Bill
Simple as that.
I had read the 'Fact Flag' bit in Help but obviously missed that bit.
Cheers
