Creating a repository

Post by peterbel » 28 Oct 2021 15:41

When I created a repository record, its Property window has Email : & Website: greyed out and they are without text boxes.
Have I missed a setting that enables them?

After upgrading to FH V7 did you see the Help for Notes on Upgrading to Version 7 and follow the advice in Important Notes on Restoring Property Box Customizations?

The tags for those fields have changed in FH V7 to GEDCOM 5.5.1 from the FH V6 GEDCOM 5.5:
REPO.EMAIL instead of REPO._EMAIL
REPO.WWW instead of REPO._WEB

If the restoration above doesn't work then use Menu > Customize Property Box... and remove those two items and add the two equivalent items from the Available Items on the left.

Thanks Mike,
I pretty sure that I hadn't customised that Property pane, as I said, 'Repositories' were a new feature to me.
However I went through the process in your link and sure enough, no old versions,
So I deleted and restored the fields and that did work, thanks again
