Good day to y'all!
I'm attempting to create a custom Ahnentafel report, and I'm good to go with my desired options except one.
Is there a way to set an option so that when a duplicate ancestor is detected, further ancestral information is not repeated?
For example, numbers 530 and 531 refer to the same husband and wife as numbers 536 and 537. What I'd like to see is something like:
530 Matthew MARVIN Jr
531 Mary
...
536 = 530
537 = 531
This would save a (moderate) number of printed pages, and as anyone with Nantucket ancestry could tell you, create far more clarity. Is there a simple solution for this (that I've missed), or should I submit a wish list request (if it's not there already)?
Please forgive if this has been covered elsewhere and my forum searching was inadequate. And many thanks in advance for the help!

Re: Duplicate Ancestors in Ahnentafel Report
Ken, I don't think anyone has ever raised that problem before.
I suspect that duplication will occur in any Ancestor Outline Report whether using Ahnentafel or Generation numbers.
Probably best as a Wish List Request but bear in mind it will never get fixed in FH v6.2 and only in FH v7.0 or later.
The workaround is to use Save Report As > Word-Processor Document (RTF)... and edit that in a word-processor to remove the unwanted text.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I'll resubmit over in the wish list section of the forum. As some of our fellows have pointed out v7 doesn't play nice with WINE at the moment so I must wait to upgrade until the tech-savvy cobble something together.
Interestingly when I saved as RTF what FH displayed onscreen was not what turned up in my word processor. However saving as a standard text file gave me something I could edit appropriately. And I don't mind breaking out the ruler and colored pencils to draw the lines back in - my Grandfather and I did that on his typewritten genealogy pages when I was a kid. Maybe my youngest will help...
I've already run into another issue, but I'll submit appropriately once I get this first section squared away, which will take a bit. Thanks again!

Re: Duplicate Ancestors in Ahnentafel Report
Pedigree collapse leading to people with two Ahnentafel numbers must be well-known (maybe!). I wonder if the "standards" for Ahnentafel reports dictate what should happen in such circumstances?
