Todays absolutely pointless question. For no obvious reason, this morning I was wondering what the origins of the CP name were.
I can't see anything in the Forum, KB or their own website. Does anyone know the story?

Re: Calico Pie - The name
The name itself seems to come from Edward Lear, and I suspect was chosen fairly randomly because it's quite hard to find a company name that isn't already taken.
But that's only a guess.

Re: Calico Pie - The name
As it happens, there is another business called Calico Pie. They sell craft products. But they can't be a limited company bacause two companies can't have the same name. See https://www.calicopie.co.uk/it's quite hard to find a company name that isn't already taken.

Lorna, interestingly, the craft company claims to have been formed in 1989 whereas our CP was incorporated in 1995.
P.S. We must be going lockdown crazy to be discussing this!
