Hi all,
I have never had any need so far with queries that aren't already in the menu's so don't know much about them. A relative asked me to print off an updated list of family members with their BMD dates and spouse, like the one I did before in FTM2014. Now I have managed to get the name of the individuals, their date of birth, death date and spouse. My problem is I can't find where the marriage date is found, I have looked in all the lists and can't see it. Can someone tell me where to find it as I am sure FH7 must have it and I am looking for the wrong wording or in the wrong place. I really don't want to reinstall FTM, export my project to it all to print off one list.

Dave, that is a little convoluted and the following is more direct:
%INDI.FAMS[1]>MARR.DATE%
There is no need to switch to the Spouse to link to the Family as Spouse.
William, the thing to remember is that Marriage events are stored in the Family record shared by the Spouses.
So %INDI.FAMS[1]>% refers to the Family record of the 1st family partnership/marriage.
Then %INDI.FAMS[1]>MARR.DATE% finds the Marriage event in that record and its Date.
Beware that if the Individual has two or more partnerships then the instance index may need to be larger.
e.g.
%INDI.FAMS[2]>MARR.DATE% for 2nd family partnership/marriage.
%INDI.FAMS[3]>MARR.DATE% for 3rnd family partnership/marriage.
In an Individual Query use the Fields data ref assistant on the Columns tab.
The special tip is that you need to expand the Family as Spouse item, then Events and Marriage and Date.

Wow, I didn't understand any of that until the last two lines of Mike's reply, which was what I was looking for. That is all I need for the moment, but I can see many uses now for them (especially 2nd/3rd marriages) and will start to have a deeper look into all those %[]>'s
