Could you not make that as a request to CP?

Not sure why you say FH does not save such Options. It does save them in the Standard Report under ProgramData.
It is the risk that they get reset to defaults when you install FH that is the problem. That is why you need a backup copy.
Usually installing FH preserves all customisations, but it cannot be guaranteed.
This current instance may be classed as a bug or it may be a deliberate necessity to fix some problem with Report Options.

I know it does - that's how I was able to retrieve my old setup, from my one-click complete backup batch file discussed last year. What I'm commenting on is the inconsistency of having to save any changes as a custom version when most other user configurations are saved automatically. I agree though that it is not necessarily a bug - it's just not as I would design it, and unfortunately they are not the same thing!

You don't have to save any changes as a custom version because user configurations are saved automatically.
Also, if you have satisfactory backups then the user configuration can be restored.
However, it is a wise precaution to save custom versions for a couple of reasons.

However, it is a wise precaution to save custom versions for a couple of reasons.
- Firstly, it provides an insurance copy, just in case.
- Secondly, it is often the case that customised settings do not always cope with unforeseen scenarios and users ask in these forums how to fix the Diagram or Report problem. A typical response is to determine if the Diagram or Report has been customised and if so to advise using the standard version with its default settings to discover if that still exhibits the problem or whether it is caused by the customisation. If it is the standard version that has been customised then those settings could easily get lost in the process.

Few words missing - having to save manually to ensure that it survives upgrading. I can see the logic, and I have limited sympathy for people who lose material through inadequate backup
but I think we both agree it would be more consistent if FH insisted on saving any changes to standard reports as a custom version, as it does with queries.

Evening All
I have just been advised that FH7 version 7.0.3 has been released for download. I don't have the release notes, but I have requested these and will publish here if I'm provided with them from CP.

Note: A check for update will not reveal this newer version. You need to download from the store.

I see Lorna and Jane have posted the list of updates for 7.0.3 so I will not bother to post them here also.
