Welcome to the FHUG.

May I ask you not to post in the Wish List Request until you question has obtained no suitable answer.

Personal Historian 3 can import the GEDCOM file exported from FH to get started.
Personal Historian Essentials is free so you could experiment with that.

Some user mange to use various techniques with Narrative Reports to get biographical histories.

Aye princessbarbski,

I have exported individual's GEDCOM from Family Historian (FH) v6.4.2 and successfully imported them into Personal Historian (PH) v3 Essentials (Free version), without problem, so far!

What can appear to be a cluttered series of entries is easily populated/expanded, with your personal writing/memoirs and minor entries/events from the GEDCOM that you do not wish to retain in the record are readily deleted.

There may be other events/memories that you might not record in a database (FH), such as observations or personal remarks, but these may add to the flow of the writing/story in PH. These can be inserted into their correct position on the PH date/timeline, with ease.

I prefer the PH format of telling the story of an individual to the potentially stilted and repetitive text generated by the FH software (albeit very adept software!). Some FH user' enjoy the software manipulation of FH to achieve a more readable text, but I would rather find information about my relatives and then write it in an easily read style for others to hopefully enjoy and relax with.

Good health, Bill
