Paula,
See the reply from Microsft on the subject of djvu files. You may find it useful.

Hi Paula, I've moved this to the General Forum as it is not really a Family Historian problem.

I suspect those DJVU images were downloaded from FindMyPast. I don't think they use them any more these days.

I have a DJVU viewer from LizardTech that can be downloaded from http://www.djvu.org/.
If you need help to choose and install the necessary resource then please ask.

I also have the IrfanView graphics editor that views DJVU and lets you batch convert them to JPG or PNG format.
See fhugdownloads:contents:irfanview|> Utility ~ IrfanView for details.
That is a much better solution because FH does not display DJVU files internally.

BTW:
The Microsoft solution to use WinDJView is not as useful as IrfanView because neither DJVU nor the conversion to PDF will let the files appear in FH in Reports or Diagrams that only work with the more popular image file formats (JPG, PNG, TIF, GIF).
