Chart to PDF

Post by Malchal » 08 May 2018 20:46

I have ventured into making a ancesters chart having made some ok diagrams.
It’s A4 six pages but when I publish it as a PDF and print it the individuals names are printing with only the top half of the font, all other letters of the words other than the names are complety, whole, top and bottom.
Any thoughts please?

Presumably it looks OK on screen in FH?

How much Diagram > Options customisation have you applied?
Try repeating the process with standard default Installation Settings.

Exactly what command options did you use to produce the PDF?
Did you use how_to:creating_a_single_page_pdf_of_a_diagram|> Single Page PDF of a Diagram?

Does it look OK when the PDF is displayed within Adobe Reader or whatever PDF Viewer you prefer?

Maybe the Names are split across multiple page boundaries?
In that case, use the Diagram > Page Boundaries > Avoid Page Boundaries option.

If none of the above helps, then please post a screenshot of the problem.

Yes it looks good in FH6

I’m not sure if the image above is viewable.

I did not use > single page PDF of a Diagram as it is for printing over six pages.

It is over six pages with my having used >> Avoid Page Boundaries

I notice there is also a flec on the all the birthdate numbers & ‘cal’ not a strike through but it repeats.

I’ll go back through the process to answer your other questions.

To attach an screenshot image see the info:forums#posting_topics|> Posting Topics advice.
The easiest method is to simply Attach the PDF file (as long as it is not too big).

The simple test of whether the image is visible is whether you can see it in your posting :)

Do the PDF pages look OK when displayed within Adobe Reader or whatever PDF Viewer you prefer?

Have you the latest FH V6.2.6 installed?
Use Help > About Family Historian to check.
