Hi,
I am new to this forum and need some help/advice. I have 700 names or so on my family tree but have recently obtained coloured 'link' lines throughout. I have no idea how I have done this, it has never happened before and I'm not sure if the correct term for these lines are "links" or not. Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Coloured Ribbon Links in Diagram?
Welcome to the FHUG.
I suspect you are talking about coloured ribbons linking duplicated persons/couples usually in All Relatives Diagrams.
Do they vanish if in Diagram > Options > General tab you untick Check for duplicates?
It is caused by Ancestors in two or more of your ancestral branches being related by marriage.
e.g.
One of your paternal great-great-grandfathers is married to one of your maternal great-great-grandmothers.
Is it possible that you have recently added such a married couple?
If not that, then some other family relationship has become disrupted by changes you have made to give a similar effect.

Thank you Mike. They disappeared once I unticked the check for duplicates. Does this mean I have linked a duplicate marriage incorrectly?

Mike,
I should have also told you that I have just noticed double lines coming from ancestors which have only been married once with a small 1 or 2 beside their name! Don't understand why this is happening.

Re: Coloured Ribbon Links in Diagram?
It is not clear what you mean by "linked a duplicate marriage".
Sounds like you may have remarried an already married couple. The 1 & 2 indicate multiple spouses.
If you make them the Focus on the Focus Window are they shown twice?
It may be better to post some screen-shots on the Attachments tab below the Post a reply text box.
See how_to:about#problem_reporting|> Problem Reporting for advice about posting screen-shots.
I suggest a screen-shot of the relevant part of the Diagram and of the Focus Window.
Do remember to tick the Check for duplicates option.
