I find Irfanview (free) the simplest way to extract images from a multi-page PDF
https://www.irfanview.com/ (Download and install the application AND the plugins)
Fire it up then OPTIONS - PROPERTIES/SETTINGS and click "PDF Options". Tick the the box to use the PDF plugin.
Open your PDF (either right click and add Irfanview to the list of apps, or within Irfanview FILE OPEN *.* types)
You can the extract all pages as JPG or any other format you fancy:
OPTIONS - EXTRACT ALL FRAMES
or for multi-page TIF:
OPTIONS - MULTIPLE IMAGES - CREATE MULTIPAGE TIF
There are plenty of options to play with!

Re: view PDF files
jelv, is the reason you specify it has to be the 32-bit version of Irfanview, not the 64-bit, because you have a 32-bit PC?
If so, then I think you are out of luck, as I believe the PDF features of IrfanView are only available in 64-bit mode.

It may have changed, but you always used to have to use the 32 bit version to work with pdf files. The 64 bit version is only needed if you are working with humungous images. Both versions can be installed on the same PC without any issues. Although I am using 64 bit windows I only have the 32 bit version of Irfanview installed.
