1939 Register entry form

Post by kenmason » 23 Apr 2017 03:55

Hi,

I suppose it's obvious but I cannot understand the meaning of the letters in the Status drop down box which is immediately to the right of the Name of person.

O, V, S, P and I

Thanks,

Ken

These are found in Institutions only and stand for Officer, Visitor, Servant, Patient and Inmate.

A way of determining such abbreviations is to look at the Census Template definition.
Use Census > Census Templates then enter the Country and Year, i.e. UK and 1939 in this case.
Select any Census Column on the left and the details are shown on the right.
