Copying sources to a new Project

Post by E Wilcock » 13 Jan 2017 09:42

I am going to be in big trouble (and apologise) for not finding the previous thread where I asked about this. I have spent ages searching but it seems that keywords are too common for the search function to work.

I have about 65 sources used in a place study and I would like to tidy them up and then have those same sources available in a new project for a new place. None has an image attached as I attach any images to the individual event.

Please dont tell me to use one massive project. I find it easier to work with small projects and there is one line less in any query.

How about copying one of the place study projects to a new project named Empty Project Template or something similar. Delete all of the people but preserve all of your sources and customisations. Then in future use this Empty project as the basis for future place study projects.

I suspect the thread is Copying Source Records to a New Project (14358)?

BTW: Searching for Copying sources to a new Project, your current posting Subject, found that earlier topic quite easily.

Sorry Mike - I put in Copying Sources. Also sources copying.
I also tried the advanced search. I am still struggling with fh help.

No I wont make a permanent template as sources multiply as I work and I dont want to perpetuate any mistakes. But thank you. I will use the copy facility. Thank you.
