Thank you for your help! Former TMG user

Post by RBH425 » 03 Jul 2016 12:58

I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for all of their help, and the use of the forums.
I have found most of the answers to my questions through the forums, either direct question or search. I have always found forums to be easier than the "help" menu.

As a former TMG user I really like the following:
View format - my reports & files are open on the left side of the screen enabling me to switch easily between the open items.
Age at death - love this feature (now that it is working)
Query feature - am working on figuring this out still, but have been able to find a variety of mismatch items from TMG and correctly enter them in FH without going through each individual
Auto recall - in particular places.. if I can't remember the county (which is frequently when just the town is given), it automatically fills
Media - I find this more manageable in FH. Whatever I have named/titled the media field, it is written under the picture in a report

There are probably more, but this is what I have found so far.
I am a huge user of narrative descendant reports, this latest version of FH is so much better. I have been able to customize the report to almost replicate the TMG version.

Many thanks to all!
