Renaming Flags

Post by Gowermick » 20 Feb 2016 11:48

Is there a simple way of renaming flags, once they have been assigned?

I have one called '1939 Checked' and wish to rename it to '1939 Entry Not found', so that its use is more meaningful.

I don't think you can re-name a flag directly, but you can use Tools> Named Lists and Flags to Copy all individual records with the flag to a list (option 4), then Set the new flag on all individual members of the list (option 1). Then select the original flag again and clear the flag on all individual records (option 3.)

Lorna,
Thanks for your reply, but I was looking for a 'simple' way
I do realise you can play with queries to achieve it, but I was hoping they'd make it a bit easier for us!

You don't need to play with queries. It's quite quick using Tools> Named Lists and Flags, with no queries involved. Only a few clicks. :)
