Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
I have used this Plugin before to change Christenings to Baptisms, and now wish to change Residence to Census in one case as per Example 2.
Unfortunately I only appear to have 'Census' and 'Death' in the drop-down for Standard facts in both Source and Target. I have checked and everything appears to be normal with Fact Types, and they all appear in the Add Fact drop-down in the Facts Tab,
Any clues?

Re: Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
Yes, sorry, there is a format in some Fact Sets that confuses the Plugin Version 2.7 in Plugin Store.
Those standard Facts should appear in the <Custom Facts> for Source/Target Fact Set but using their Gedcom tags such as RESI and BIRT, etc.
The posting Change Any Fact Tag 2.7 (13253) reported the same problem and there is an ATTACHMENTS Plugin Version 2.7.1 Date 18 Jan 2016 that should fix the problem.
Please, let me know if it works OK.

Re: Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
Mike
I had the following experience(s):
Initially checked <Custom Facts> and, as you suggested, the GEDCOM tags were there.
Rather than go ahead with this, I then took note of your upgrade to 2.7.1 and downloaded it. The result was
SOURCE Standard >Birth, Census, Death, Occupation: NO <Custom Facts>
TARGET Standard >Complete FACT Set
I then reinstalled 2.7 and the Standard list has reverted to Census and Death but the <Custom Facts> now shows BIRT and OCCU for both SOURCE and TARGET. (Noticed that 2.7 was dated 21 Dec)
Any further thoughts?
Roger

Re: Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
Roger, that is exactly as I would have expected.
I presume with V2.7 that Target Tag Set: Standard lists every Target Tag Name: except Birth & Occupation.
The Source Tag Set/Name will only list what is used in the current Project, because those are only ones you can change or delete.
So the current Project only uses Birth, Census, Death, Occupation standard facts, and that is confirmed by both V2.7 and V2.7.1, albeit that V2.7 splits them between Standard names and <Custom Facts> tags.
You said originally you wanted to change a Residence to Census, but Residence is not listed in Source Tag Set/Name, so you must be using a different Project?

Re: Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
Please help me out Roger. I am trying to resolve some minor problems with Fact Set formats that confuse the Plugin, and your descriptions don't exactly agree with my expectations. I don't want to publish in Plugin Store if it still misbehaves.
Was your success with Version 2.7 Date 21 Dec 2015 or Version 2.7.1 Date 18 Jan 2016?
Also, why was RESI never mentioned in your earlier postings?
Have you switched to a different Project or a different PC?
When you say Custom Fact do you mean <Custom Facts>?

Mike
Yes, I did mean <Custom Facts>
As an aside, I have just reopened the plugin with the following result:
SOURCE Standard >Birth, Census, Death: <Custom Facts> GEDCOM Tags. Occupation is now missing from Standard.
TARGET Standard >Birth, Census, Death: <Custom Facts> GEDCOM Tags. Occupation is now missing from Standard.
I trust that this may be of help to you.

Version 2.7 Date 21/12/2015Was your success with Version 2.7 Date 21 Dec 2015 or Version 2.7.1 Date 18 Jan 2016?
My initial posting stated that I wished to change Residence to Census. Your reply to this post mentioned RESI in the <Custom Facts> drop down. Also, why was RESI never mentioned in your earlier postings?
Same Project all the time and same PC. Fact Types lists ALL Facts.Have you switched to a different Project or a different PC?

Re: Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
Thank you Roger for that feedback.
Referring back to your Sun Jan 31 posting for V2.7 only Census and Death were in Source/Target Standard facts.
This agrees with your Wed Feb 03 posting for V2.7 that says it omits Occupation from Source/Target Standard facts.
Can you check that OCCU is listed in both Source & Target under <Custom Facts>.
On Mon Feb 01 for V2.7.1 you said:
SOURCE Standard >Birth, Census, Death, Occupation: NO <Custom Facts>
TARGET Standard >Complete FACT Set
I would have expected Residence to appear in SOURCE Standard since RESI Residence facts existed in your Project then.
Would you please install V2.7.1 and check a few things?
Source Standard should list just the Individual Standard facts used by your Project - make a note of them.
Then check by using View > Standard Queries > All Facts, click on Facts column heading to sort alphabetically, and compare all the Fact names against the note made above.
Be aware that Family facts such as Marriage and Divorce will only appear in the Family Records tab of the Plugin.
Target Standard should list the entire set of Individual Standard facts.
The Plugin should list no <Custom Facts> in either Source or Target.

Re: Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
Mike
In answer to your points:
V2.7
Yes, in both cases
Re load V2.7.1
Source Tag Set>Standard - 16 Facts
View > Standard Queries > All Facts - 16 Facts as per above, plus Marriage Banns, Marriage, Divorce and Census Family all on the Family Records tab.
Additionally there are drop downs under Military2 and Custom, all of which are in use and included in the All Facts Query.
I have also run V2.7.1 on another Project with results similar to above.
Hope this helps
Roger

Re: Change Any Fact - Missing Facts
Brilliant! Thank you so much.
I think that gives the Plugin V2.7.1 a clean bill of health from another user, so should appear in the Plugin Store soon as V2.8.
