How to separate the In-laws family names to a new GEDCOM.
My in-laws want their own GEDCOM without all of the other family branches. At present theirs are part of the main family tree. Other than re-entering all of the records what can I do. I am using FH 6.0.

You can export a Gedcom containing just your spouse's relatives. If your in-laws are also using Family Historian V6 this is straightforward. If they are using different genealogy software, or an earlier version of FH, you may need to use a plugin to tailor the gedcom to suit their software, in which case ask here again.
Assuming the gedcom is for use in FH v6, use File > Import/Export > Export > Gedcom file. Click Select... and the Select Record window will open. At the bottom of this window click Add using Query. Select the All Relatives query and then select your spouse as the starting person. Then click OK, and OK again in the Select Records window .
You will now be returned to the Export Gedcom File dialog. Note that you have the option to exclude certain types of record if you want to, but the default settings will probably be suitable. Now click OK. You will be prompted to enter a name for the exported gedcom. By default it will be saved in the Public folder of your Project, but you can choose to save it elsewhere.
The above procedure will produce just a gedcom file. If you have media files linked in your project you may want to let your in-laws have a cut-down version of your whole project so that they have the relevant media files linked to their gedcom. This requires a different technique, but can be done using a Edit > Split Tree Helper. Ask again here if you think this is what you need and if you want help with it.

Re: How to separate the In-laws family names to a new GEDCOM
Alternatively use the following strategy.
Copy your main Project and give it the name your in-laws would prefer.
Then use the File > Split Tree Helper command to delete the records no longer required.
But this only works if your in-laws use FH V6.
BTW: Please use the User Control Panel > Profile and set Family Historian V6 so it appears in the pane on the right, then you won't have to tell us your FH version.
