This morning when starting up FH v6.0.4. it caused my external DVD drive, on G:, to come alive. Never having had this happen before I tried it a few times with the same result. Why would FH look to the USB ports on start up?
The program and all files are on my C: drive.

Is it possible that the most recent FH V6 file import, export, backup, etc, dialogue involved that G: drive?
So, because it is in the memory of FH, perhaps it is checking the drive/folder exists.
If you perform a command that involves a file browse dialogue does it offer the G: drive by default?
Are you sure that the File > Project Window > Location is not referring to that G: drive?

Never used G: from within FH. Shut down backup goes to C: Backup folder "Small (Gedcom file only)". Then I use SyncToy 2.1 every Friday to backup ALL files related to my Family Tree to an external Hard Drive, which is on G: Therefore FH never "see's" the G: drive.tatewise wrote:Is it possible that the most recent FH V6 file import, export, backup, etc, dialogue involved that G: drive?

Thankfully it's not causing any problems with the program.
