Displaying Marriage ID
Is there a way to display the Marriage record ID number on the main screen instead having to do a search for it? I file Paper copies of my sources in files by Marriage ID and it would save an extra step while entering records.

Re: Displaying Marriage ID
Welcome to the FHUG.
I think you are talking about a Marriage Event with a Citation of a Source Record, and you want to find the Record Id of that Source Record.
Have you switched on the yellow Source Citations pane?
If not, then have a look at glossary:sources|> Sources.
With that yellow Source Citations pane displayed, when you select any Fact (including Marriages) the associated Source Titles are listed.
Select the Source Title you are interested in and click the blue Go To Source Record arrow centre right.
This displays the Source Record with the Record Id in square brackets in the heading.
To return to the original Individual Record click the white Go Back arrow near the top.
To avoid those two clicks, you need to add the Record Id to the Source Title by hand.
As a newcomer to FH may I suggest how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers that refers to the glossary:sources|> Sources advice identified above, among other useful advice.
If I understand correctly, you file all Sources for Individuals under their Marriage Source record ID. If so, I am interested how you cope with multiple Marriages, or unmarried Individuals, and Census Records for entire households.

Its a really system i us. All children sources go under the parent MRIN until they get married, at which time they get their own MRIN. Then all new sources for that family are then added to them. If they get remarried they get a new MRIN and the sources pertaining to that family go to them. Check out website fileyourpapers.com, it's the system i use. As to the Family ID, I have the Printed source in front of me when when entering events, then create the source. at which time i put the Family ID on the original paper source and then put in that numbered file. Put with FH i have to leave main screen to get that number. Was wanting to see i could have the number display on main screen.

I'm sorry you've lost me. I don't understand which number you want to use.
Is MRIN the same number as Family ID?
From what you say, the MRIN/Family ID number is created by you, and you enter it into FH somewhere, but it is not clear where you enter that number. Please explain more clearly.
But then you say you need to get the number from FH. If you explain where you enter the number I could suggest how to get it.
I don't know what you mean by "main screen". Do you mean the Individual Property Box?
If you could either paste a screenshot of where you want the number to be displayed, or explain your use of FH in clearer step by step instructions it would help.

Re: Displaying Marriage ID
I wonder if the questioner is asking for the ID number of the Family Record to be displayed in the Focus Window? If so, on the Spouses & Children tab you just need to click on the line which says 'Married: ' followed by the date and place of marriage if known. (If no date or place is known the line will be blank, but it is the line immediately above the Children's section.) This displays the family record in the Property Box, with the ID number at the top.

I,m Sorry about that, I'm used to Legacy which uses Mrins where FH uses Family ID. On the focus screen, I'm wanting to have the Family ID show up. I did what the previous post but have to slide the properties window to almost half my screen to see the ID Number.

OK, you are almost there.
We just need to move the Family [ID] further left in the caption so it's always on screen.
So use Tools > Preferences > Property Box and click the Captions... button in middle.
Then for the Family: caption move the [=RecordId()] part left like this:
Family: [=RecordId()] %FAM%
Then click OK out. Job done!
