* FH V6 PDF printer not available

Hello,
How can I enable the pdf printer in V6. If I click the print button there is no PDF printer available in the drop down list.

With Windows 8.1, you need to check the "Devices and Printers" list - this can be accessed via the Control Panel (as well as several other ways), and shows all installed printers. In my case, the "Family Historian PDF" printer is the first one shown on the page. If it is not listed, then it would imply that it has not been installed, and therefore, I suspect, you would need to reinstall FH.

Yes, a re-install of V6 should fix it, but look at the advice in how_to:family_historian_installation_problems|> Family Historian Installation Problems.

In particular use the technique in the Introduction and the advice in Save As PDF File Does Not Work steps 2 & 3.
