Hi,
I am on v6, Windows 7. I have about 1000 individuals and a similar number of media items which over the years I have merrily added without realising what the "exclude from diagrams" option was about. I now want to make amends, the best method I can come up with is to open each Individual Property box/Media and then set the exclude flag for each media item (which may have multiple links - think Census pages). It's laborious.
It would probably be simpler if I could exclude the relevant media record globally but haven't been able to discover if this is possible.
Advice please.

Re: Multiple Exclude from diagrams methods.
A quick plugin will do the job for this. I'll try and have a look later.

Hi,
When I converted to v5, way back, it was in part because of the idea of Plug-ins. Sadly I have not yet used any of them, but if one could save a lot of effort I will be very grateful.
Having given a little thought, could the idea of globally excluding all Census records, or all BMD Certificates have any general appeal ? It would certainly massively simplify my problem.
Thanks anyway, and I await in eager anticipation.

Re: Multiple Exclude from diagrams methods.
Most people attach media records for Birth Certificates and Census to Sources and not direct to individuals so it's not a problem.
I have attached a Plugin to add the Diagram exclusion to all the media records you select at the prompt.
I think it will work OK with version 5, but I don't have it installed to test it easily.

Hi,
Thankyou for the plug-in which saved a lot of time for me. My only defence is ignorance, because I started recording my tree a long time ago. When FH gave me the opportunity to have scanned copies associated with my records, it seemed obvious to me that everything needed to be linked directly to the people named therein.
I am slowly trying to make things better.
