In my case a female has a spouse listed with children and a no spouse with no children listed. This results in the chart displaying incorrectly. Can I get rid of the no spouse tab?
I am new to the forum. Hope my butting in is OK

Re: too many spouses!
Welcome to the FHUG.
Yes, in the Focus Window the woman is displayed twice, once with a husband and once with one missing.
Right-click on the woman with no Husband/Partner shown and choose Unlink Record.

Re: too many spouses!
I get the female into the focus window and underneath is shown
the female = named spouse = unnamed person = unnamed person = unnamed person = unnamed person.
I am beginning to wonder if I should delete the family and reintroduce them.

Re: too many spouses!
Does it look something like this:
If so, right-click each [unnamed person] [??] on left in turn and choose Delete Record.
They should vanish from the Focus Window display one by one.
On the last one, the no Husband/Partner / <no spouse> family should vanish.
If not, right-click on the woman with no Husband/Partner and Unlink Record.
How did you get the data in that situation?
I guess you have been creating a Family via the Diagram drag method perhaps?
If you get this kind of situation again, then do NOT close FH, but immediately use the Edit > Undo command to undo your latest edits.

Re: too many spouses!
In the focus window this time the female with too many spouses was shown several times full face below and I unlinked them. I repeated this 3 times and this seems to have solved the problem. When I bring the chart up the female is shown correctly under her father with husband and children. Problem solved apparently. Thanks for your help.

Re: too many spouses!
Just check in the Records Window for any left over records.
In the Individuals tab look for any [unnamed person] with a relatively large Record Id and recent Updated date.
Likewise in the Families tab (View > Record List > Families) look for any no parent entries with a relatively large Record Id and recent Updated date.
In all cases carefully use the Delete key to remove them.
You might find the Show Project Statistics Plugin revealing.
P.S.
See the how_to:removing_unwanted_relations|> Removing Unwanted Relations advice I have just added.
