Hello,
For the last few years I have been researching the people of my home town. I currently use a PHP script to display my data. However, I am hoping to convert the website to a Family Historian generated website.
My concern is whether Family Historian will be able to create my website. It currently has about 17,000 people and is linked to approximately 25,000 images. Would Family Historian be able to handle this?
Kind Regards,
Craig Mollekin

Re: Website generation limitations
FH should be able to cope, but it may take a few minutes to create all the files.
It just depends on your PC capabilities.
FH does not use PHP and creates a static XHTML page file for each Family Group Sheet for couples, or Individual Summary for single people.
FH will create an image file for each thumbnail and popup version of each media file.
If you check the links:index|> Member Web Sites created with FH you will find examples of what is possible.

Re: Website generation limitations
Thanks. I know when I tried to create a website with about 2,000 people and 3,000 photos, it was taking around half an hour I think to generate the website. That was with 4GB Ram and i3 processor. I'm still using 4GB Ram but with an i5 processor now. I'll see how I get on ....
