Is it possible to write a plugin which will perform the function that FTAnalyzer does.
For example to create a report showing those connected by Blood Lines, those connected only by marriage etc with a filter to print the relative filtered items. This would obviously be better than having to create a Ged file and then running FT Analyzer.
This in no way takes anything away from FTAnalyzer other than having it in FH like other plugins and queries.

The answer is probably yes, as there is not much you can't do with a plugin. I have not played with FTAnalyzer.
If you are just looking for blood relations etc, you can do that with a normal query.

Re: Blood relations etc
FT Aanlyzer offers a Colour BMD Report and a Colour Census Report, for 5 Relationship Types, filtered by Surname, with Filters for many options such as All Individuals, All Found, None Found, etc, etc.
They include a reasonable set of colour coded BMD details, with Save, Print & Export options.
This might be feasible with Queries, and definitely feasible with Plugins, although the Result Set could NOT be colour coded as in the FT Analyser Reports.
But why bother, FT Analyzer already does an excellent job, its shortcut sits on your desktop and remembers your previous GEDCOM file path.
You do not need to create a GEDCOM, because you can use the GEDCOM that is in your Project folder already.
P.S.
John (I think), could you please set your Family Historian version in your Profile.

Thanks Mike now entered FH5 although 5.09
The point I was making it would be easier like all other plugins to make the Relationship FTAnalyzer one as part of FH
makes life easier although I realise I can use the GED file from projects. I also realise it is not necessary to have the colours.

Re: Blood relations etc
Is it also possible in the Plug in to use a filter so that say only Blood relations or relationship by marriage appears for printing
Thanks

Re: Blood relations etc
It would be possible to have Filters in the Plugin, but they would simply yield a reduced Result Set, which then can be printed in its entirety.
A Plugin cannot interact with a Result Set in the way FT Analyzer Filters interact dynamically with the Report.
You would have to run the Plugin, choose your Report Type, Relationship Type, Surname Filter, and other Filters then close the Plugin to produce the Result Set.
To change any of those options would require the Plugin to be run again to produce a different Result Set.
To be honest I can't see anyone wanting to create such a Plugin when FT Analyzer already does it better.
