Occupation events being corrupted
I've noticed that a few of my records have corrupt Occupation events. By this I mean that I have entered more than one Occupation event, and on subsequent viewing, two of the events have been combined with the Occupation from one event appearing in the Place field of the other entry. The original Event has been removed.
This does not happen for all records, in fact it has only happened for a small number. I believe that I have reordered the events for these records to make the right Occupation event appear in the Main property tab.
I am currently using V2.3.1, but have just downloaded the update to 2.3.5 to see whether the problem still exists.
Has anyone else come across this or anything similar? I am concerned that other events have been removed without me knowing.

Did you migrate or import any information from other programs?
FTW for one stores information in the Place field which should be stored in the occupation element.
Otherwise have you ever used any other method of editing data such as a text editor?

All of the data has been entered fresh into FH. I haven't processed the GEDCOM file using anything other than FH.
I have about 150 records in the file (of which probably about 50-60 have occupation events), and only 6 of them have been affected in this way. I have noticed this previously but put it down to operator error. I am now very careful to enter data in the correct fields, and the problem has recurred.

I have been unable to reproduce the problem, I will highlight this one over to Calico see if they can spot anything.

Thanks Jane. I've now upgraded to 2.3.5 and am keeping a close eye on things. If I see it happening again I'll try and focus in on what actions may be provoking it.

When entering second occupations, what method do you use. I presume going to the event tab and adding a second occupation attribute?

Yes. I think on some of my records I entered the first occupation through the main tab, and subsequent occupations by adding occupation events.
I've now changed the way I work so that apart from the namke I now enter everything by explicitly adding new events. Not had any problems since doing this.
