Hi, I am using the trial version to evaluate FH, and seem to be having a problem, with the all relatives chart, with regard to 'half' relations. When starting with my mother, her half brother and sister, are shown as her 1st cousins; this in turn throws the chart out for their descendents. If I start with my grandfather, all is well, but starting with anyone further down the tree results in the error.
Is this a known problem... am I doing something wrong?

All relatives chart
This was a design decision by Calico and has been discussed a couple of times before.
There is a wish list item to be able to show step families on the same line.
In addition as you can add people to more than on Parent family, I believe some people have added the Step family to the 'main' family group as well.

Thanks for that Jane. Sorry to have resurrected a previously discussed issue. I did a search last night, and nothing showed up, but I suspect there was something wrong with my search, as I've now found the past discussions without problem.
Having read Simon's comments, I have to say it's an interesting interpretation, calling it a design 'compromise'; to my mind it is just wrong to describe half siblings as cousins.
Anyway, since there has already been a number of threads on this subject, please feel free to remove this thread, if you feel it is a duplication.

In the same manner this begs the question whether a relationship that has a legal definition can also be considered as a 'relation'.
