Generations 4.2 will not open as not compatible with Windows 7 on new PC (64 bit). Can my files be easily transferred to FH 5?

Transferring Gen 4.2 files to FH5
Generations files can be transferred using the gedcom export, but it's a good idea to ensure any custom facts in Generations are converted as far as possible to valid gedcom ones, for example all Census facts should have a CENS tag.
If you download and install the free trial for FH you can load your file and review the exception report to spot data which needs attention, just come back and ask with some examples if you have exception text you don't understand.
