Has anyone else had trouble with accessing these? My FH decided to arbitrarily close last night (as it has been known to do randomly a few times) and when I reopened it I was unable to access hints, it just went to a blank web page.
Mind you, when I can access them, if there is an image available for download, almost every session after looking at three or four images, the link will fail and I just end up with the rotating arrow.

Re: Find my past hints
As always with such activities involving FH, Internet, browsers, etc, more specific details would be helpful.
"I was unable to access hints, it just went to a blank web page." is a bit vague.
Presumably, you have tried a number of different Individuals and clicked the green circles in the Focus Window that say there are Findmypast matches (new):?
Is the blank web page in the FH internal Web Search Window, or an external browser, and if so which one?
Have you tried both those internal and external modes?
Are you signed in to FindMyPast on the matching browser?
From past postings, you keep Project files in cloud storage. Are the cache files saved correctly?
This is particularly relevant since FH closed arbitrarily and may have left files in an unusual state.

Mike,
thanks for your reply. Answers below but as you will see it seems to work in firefox. I've never had any problems with the internal browser before.

This is what it goes to:

Yes, I've also checked by changing the option to "accepted"

Internal (I've always used that) - but I have just checked using firefox (my default browser) and that seems to work!

Yes

I gave up on that method of storing project files when it continually failed to work. They are stored on my data drive (and backed up nightly). Now if I want to use the program on my laptop away from my networ I take a copy of everything plus the last FH backup with me.

Re: Find my past hints
If the FH internal Web Search Window is misbehaving in various scenarios, then review the advice at how_to:internet_data_matches|> Internet Data Matches under Record Matching in last paragraph regarding Internet Explorer and using its Reset and a Plugin.

Re: Find my past hints
Hi Mike,
I have done that: I did have IE11 installed (although I never use it as a standalone program). I've run the plugin and that has done the trick. It's odd, I've never had a problem with the hints opening in the internal browser, only with the link to an image actually opening, which I suspect is a FMP issue.
Thanks for your help
Paul
