Hi, just upgraded my laptop and at the same time switched from Family Tree Maker to Family Historian v6.
My tree is held on FMP which I subscribe to, I have over 11,000 inviduals on my tree. I have downloaded it via a gedcom file
and in the process seem to have lost some media. Also I would like to split the tree into four branches of the family using Parents as the source individuals.
Any help really would be appreciated.

If you have Family Tree Maker did you read through
how_to:import_from_family_tree_maker|> Import from Family Tree Maker (FTM)
it explains about media in some detail.
Generally we don't recommend keeping multiple projects for related persons, but if you want to do so you can use the Family Historian export to create 4 new files from your existing file and then create Projects for each file.
11,000 is not huge and Family Historian will cope just fine with a single Project.
I wrote a short article you might find helpful

Welcome to the FHUG.
I am a little confused. You say you use Family Tree Maker but your online tree is on FindMyPast.
I would have expected your tree to be on Ancestry synchronised with Family Tree Maker.
As Jane says, the Media will import better directly from Family Tree Maker assuming it is up-to-date.
Also, I would advise against splitting your tree. What are your reasons for thinking that is worthwhile?
How will you record the common descendants of your four grandparents such as all their children including your parents and your wife's parents, you and your wife, your children, and any grandchildren?
If you split, then all those will have to be replicated in each separate tree.

Re: New user
Thank you both for your answers, I use FMP because I prefer it as a research site and because it doesn't make your research public. My main tree is kept there and I used to keep a copy offline.
I will read the instructions again re downloading the tree.
Sorry to be obtuse, I am retired and not massively computer savvy, would it be possible to update each tree from the other depending on which one I work on, thank you.

Re: New user
There is not any specific help for importing from FindMyPast, but see the general advice at the bottom of the section how_to:index#importing_to_family_historian|> Importing to Family Historian.
It is NOT possible to migrate Media in bulk from FindMyPast and it is not easy from Ancestry.
Yes, it is possible to keep those descendants in synch in four trees, but it relies on a very high degree of manual discipline to remember to update the other three trees every time you update one of them.
Why bother with that complexity. Why do you think a single Project tree will not work for you?

Thank you Mike, will stick with the Family Historian tree as a single project, I was worried about only having one copy but what you say makes sense.
Yes I did read Janes article, found it useful, also looked at her site.

Re: New user
Don't worry too much about having only one copy.
Firstly, FH takes a Snapshot of your GEDCOM file once a day whenever you use FH.
Secondly, FH prompts you to create a Project Backup every time it is closed.
But do ensure those backups are saved on some external media (or you have a general PC backup regime).
See glossary:backup_and_recovery|> Backup and Recovery advice that is a topic in how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers that I recommend you study.
