A screenshot would help, as not sure what you mean by media/images.

Have you in any way disrupted the Diagram Root person?
Renumbered Individual Record Id, Merged Projects, Deleted Individuals, anything that upsets that key person.

Does it rely on a custom Diagram or Text Scheme that is no longer on your PC?

Ah! I see the fault - I changed the name of the project which probably the reason for the loss of tree.
Thanks

Remember when renaming Projects to always the Project Rename on the Project Window, do not rename using Windows.

Thanks Jane.
It seems I'm wrong again as I did change the name via the project window, in future I'll leave well alone ;)

I'm not sure why using Windows File Explorer to rename a Project would upset Saved Charts (providing all the correct folders & files are altered correctly). It is just the same as using the FH Rename Project command.

I have just renamed a Project using both methods and its Saved Charts seem OK, so a loss of Saved Charts is more likely due to something else.

Mike, the reason I suggested it as a possible reason is if you use Windows explorer it won't automatically change the gedcom and sub folder names or the link to the gedcom in the .fh_proj file.

Agreed that it is a much more error prone option.
I cannot see where the .fh_proj file links to the GEDCOM .ged file?

However, I had not realised that several custom/preference settings now reside in the .fh_proj file.
Is this the beginnings of moving such settings out of the Registry?

There now seem to be Version 4 and Version 5 and Version 6 style .fh_proj files in my various Projects each with different preference tags such as [Id] and [Snapshots] depending on Version.

The Project files contain Project specific information as far as I am aware shared preferences are stored in Program Data and the registry.
