restoring default version
Before I had my cataract ops I could barely see the program and the boxes, text, etc. Now that my vision is 20/20 can I reset the program to it's original defaults without compromising the information and how to do it please?

Re: restoring default version
You can go to the customise area each section and hit the installation settings button.
I suspect you probably changed the Focus Window using the Customise link top right and the font size on the Property box in the Options under the Gear wheel top right of the property box.

Re: restoring default version
John, presumably you did not keep a note of what you changed?
Since we don't know what you changed, it is difficult to say exactly what to reset.
Probably you adjusted some of the font & colour options within Tools > Preferences.
So look through the following and click the Installation Settings button where appropriate.
Tools > Preferences > Display
Tools > Preferences > Focus Window see Fonts... and Colours...
Tools > Preferences > Property Box
Tools > Preferences > Records Window see Colours...
Tools > Preferences > Media see Colours...
Tools > Preferences > Map Window see Fonts... and Colours...
Tools > Preferences > Query Window see Fonts... and Colours...
You may have also customised fonts & colours in Diagrams and Reports, which will also need resetting.

Re: restoring default version
Thank you for the advice Jane and Mike. You're correct that I don't remember which settings I changed. However just doing the basics makes it look better but got some odd colours in the All box

Re: restoring default version
Have you been through all the settings as I advised?
Those bright colours are probably in the Records Window too?
I suspect you missed Tools > Preferences > Records Window click Colours... and then Installation Defaults.

Re: restoring default version
Thank you Mike, yes I overlooked that part.
Re: restoring default version
Isn't it great when you can see again, though! I've just had my cataracts removed and everything is so bright, sharp and colourful. Wonderful!

On the topic of cataracts, I also had that 'brilliant' experience two years ago.
But now I have symptoms very similar to cataracts, which occurs in about 20% of cases.
A simple outpatient non-invasive laser operation cures the problem permanently, and I'm on the waiting list.
