Relative named in Board of Guardians

Post by janefrances » 09 Sep 2018 12:35

I've created a residence fact and source titled Board of Guardians Admission Records for an orphan whose uncle is named in these records over a couple of years as his address was given, however I wasn't sure if this would be the best way to go about this so instead I've linked the source and image to the uncle's name tab on the property box main details tab. I have three or four of these to add to my tree so I'm not really sure the best way to go about it? Many thanks :)

It would be perfectly reasonable to Cite that Source for both the Residence address and the Name of the uncle.
That is typically how Source documents are used. They 'prove' several facts extracted from the document.
Presumably the orphan has facts that Cites that same Source record.

That is similar to the way a Census Source record is Cited by all the members of the household Census Events, Occupations, and Birth details, all extracted from the one document.

Then by selecting the Source record and running the Where Used Record Links Plugin you get a list of the associated Names & Facts, etc, derived from that Source document.
