1939 England and Wales Register

Post by martinreed » 21 May 2018 06:32

I am updating records with 1939R details as they become available but noticed that if I have a birth date of say '1955' when I change this to the exact date from the Register this isn't transferred to FH.
Am I doing something wrong?

As far as I remember existing birth facts are not changed in Ancestral Sources when you enter data only new ones are created. So you will need to adjust the date manually in FH and add the Source manually.

It depends on what Tools > Options > Census settings have been chosen for Birth Facts at the top

If all four options are ticked, then when the Census is Saved popup options allow the Birth Place &/or Birth Date to be updated and a Citation automatically added.
