duplicate install

Post by KiwiPeterHill » 11 Aug 2017 23:55

Am I allowed to have The software installed on two computers at once??
I would like to install it on my notebook so I can take it with me and work on my Family tree from other location.

Peter, you are allowed to have it installed on two computers.

From the license:
The Software must not be installed on more than one computer at any one time, except that, subject to all other conditions, you may install it onto 2 computers (and no more than 2) if both computers are owned and kept by you, and no more than one person ever uses the software at any one time.

Peter, look at the how_to:family_historian_migration_guide|> Family Historian V5 & V6 Migration Guide that explains how to install on two PC and migrate/synchronise Projects and custom Settings across the two PC.

If anything is not clear, then do ask rather than stumble on, because there are some pitfalls.
