When I go to open some of my saved charts (view/saved charts), FH crashes with the message "Family Historian has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working properly...."
It's not all of the saved charts but always the same ones as far as I can tell.
What might be causing the corruption and is there any way to recover the charts?

Checkout how_to:family_historian_installation_problems|> Family Historian Installation Problems under Error: Family Historian Stopped Working and try the printer driver solution in 3rd paragraph.
Have you done anything to alter any Individual Record Id?
Such as File > Merge/Compare File or Tools > Record Identifiers.
Charts are keyed to Record Id and fail if the ones they use get changed.
Were the Charts produced from within the current Project?
You cannot import/copy Charts from another Project.
When did those Charts last display correctly?
Charts use a proprietary FH binary format that cannot be altered except by FH itself.

Re: Saved charts crashing FH
Thanks for the suggestions Mike.
Out of 40+ saved charts, 5 are corrupted, all created within the current project. I've been aware of the problem for several months with one of them and only today gone through and checked them all. From the chart names, it seems the only individuals common to the 5 charts are me and my immediate family. I've not deliberately changed any record ID.
I did do a merge recently, since the corruption problem. There were only two individuals common to both files and a) I don't think they feature on any of the corrupted charts, b) the charts that do feature the merged individuals are ok. I tried changing the default printer as suggested, but that hasn't solved it.

Re: Saved charts crashing FH
Tim, when you merge two Gedcom, the added file has all its Record Id changed, but should not affect existing Charts.
I have no further suggestions other than to report the problem to Calico Pie and rebuild the Charts from scratch.
