Welcome to the FHUG Burty.
I have moved this to the FH General Usage Forum because the User Group Forum is for help on using this FHUG website.

As a newcomer I suggest you study the topics in how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers especially the Documentation & Tutorials and follow the links into the rest of our [kb]how_to:index|[/kb].

It rather depends on what you want to delete, could you give us some clues?

For immediately added details use Edit > Undo command from menubar at top.
For some things there is an X icon Delete button in the dialogue.
For others, select the text and either press the keyboard Delete key or use Edit > X Delete command from menubar at top.
To delete whole records, such as an entire Individual, see:
how_to:removing_unwanted_relations|> Removing Unwanted Relations
how_to:delete_a_large_number_of_records|> Delete A Large Number of Records
Don't overlook the ability to glossary:backup_and_recovery|> Backup and Restore your whole Project.

Practice with the Family Historian Sample Project until you are more familiar with FH.

Many thanks Tatewise, lots to get my teeth into there. My problem was that I had two sets of our three children - one under the other so I managed to delete the whole lot and start again (finger trouble I suspect). Seems to be successful 2nd time around. Thanks again, Burty
