Delete Unkown Spouse

Post by WeefordHoldcroft's » 05 Jul 2016 09:45

I seem to have created an unknown spouse which shows up as a second marriage on the family tree view (see Attachment) I want to know how to delete this but cannot find a solution. Help please.

Assuming it's as per your diagram, with no children for that spouse, just select the box on the diagram for the individual you want to delete, press the Delete key on your keyboard, click the "delete data records for selected boxes" button, OK, on the Confirm tab that displays check the I understand..... box, then click the delete record button. Done.

Alternative methods via the Focus Window are explained in how_to:index|> Family Historian Beginners Guide under Relationships and how_to:removing_unwanted_relations|> Removing Unwanted Relations is most likely what you need.
