v6.2.2 WIN 7
Hard drive (SSD) crashed and my geek cloned data, replaced hard drive, and (supposedly) replaced data.
My FH program now works BUT it is missing information.
I received two error messages, as follows:
1. Family Historian Validation Report - Friday 17 Jun 2016
===============================================================
Family Record Id=254 (...of Virginius Orlando CASSELL and Jane Manning TATEM): Individual listed as child has no link back to this family as a child. Individual Id=758 (Virginius Orlando CASSELL). Missing link has been added.
Family Record Id=265 (...of Virginius Orlando CASSELL): Individual listed as 'Husband' has no link to this family as spouse. Individual Id=758 (Virginius Orlando CASSELL). Missing link has been added.
2. Family Historian Exception Report - Friday 17 Jun 2016
=========================================================
Lines marked "EXCLUDED:" indicate data which has not
been loaded, and explain why it wasn't loaded.
Indented lines marked "EXCLUDED BRANCH LINE:" indicate
data lines which are not necessarily invalid in
themselves but which have had to be excluded as a
consequence of excluding other lines.
Lines marked "INFO ONLY:" indicate data that has
been successfully loaded, but where special action
was needed to load it (e.g. GEDCOM errors detected
and automatically corrected by Family Historian).

And these entries go on, and on, and on, and on.
Query: Is it possible to replace the lost data (which includes lost people)? If so, how? If not, suggestions requested for a clean method for suicide.
Thanks in advance

Re: Computer crash--again
So did you have your FH data files on that SSD (C: drive)?
If the SSD crashed maybe the data was corrupted, and that was what your geek "cloned" (seems a strange thing to do in my thinking).
No backups of your data files on another disk or USB stick or cloud then?

Backup, backup, backup!
In the previous crash you said you had cloud backups.
Your database has been seriously corrupted by the latest crash, so backups are the only saviour.

Re: Computer crash--again
FH asks you if you want to do a backup whenever you close it, unless you have deliberately disabled the backup prompt in Preferences. Have you got any backups at all? Even just 'Small' backups of the gedcom file alone? Ideally you should keep backups in a different storage medium but even if they are on the drive that crashed it is worth trying to restore from a recent backup. Although your current gedcom file has been corrupted a backup may have survived.

Re: Computer crash--again
Thank you for the first three replies/suggestions.
I also note (totally separate to FH) that I am missing all my photos from 2016).
I'll get my geek back and ask him, using the advice you have posted, if he can find the relevant files. I do have backups but I haven't been able to ascertain if they are un-corrupted (yet)
Thanks, again.
