Combine Address & Place Query

Post by ColinBeaver » 19 May 2016 16:39

I am looking for a Query Function which combines Address and Place for outputting to a CSV File.

Regards
Colin

Use the =Text() function.
E.g.
=Text( %FACT.ADDR% . %FACT.PLAC% )

or to insert comma & space between them:
=Text( %FACT.ADDR% . ", " . %FACT.PLAC% )

or if the comma & space are conditional on both Address & Place existing:
=Text( %FACT.ADDR% . TextIf( Exists(%FACT.ADDR%) and Exists(%FACT.PLAC%), ", ", "" ) . %FACT.PLAC% )

Thank you for the solution, it work perfectly.

As part of my project to show the locations of each branch of my ancestor's on Google Earth, I used the Plugin Map Life Fact. This version 3.7 ignore address field and only used the Place Field.

I then upgrade the plugin to 3.8 and now it cannot run.

I am currently running version 5 of Family Historian.

Any Thoughts

Thanks & Regards
Colin

I answered that problem in Map Life Facts Will Not Run (13820)!

The default always has been to only plot Place fields but that is changed in the Set Preference Options tab.
