I have been playing around with the options for the Individual Summary Report, as i have never been very keen on the positioning of the images against a source record.
Normally i use the 'To the Right of the Text' option for displaying the picture, but when you have a number of sources with images they soon become disconnected from each other. So i started to experiment with the 'Below Each Citation' option, which works ok for keeping the image with the source. However, if you have the 'Show Captions with Pictures' option enabled, the caption is displayed under the image in effectively a column as wide as the image is, resulting in a tall narrow stream of text (see example screen shot)
It would be nice that instead of having the text below the images, you had the option of placing the caption to the right of the image, enabling the full width of the rest of page to be available to display the caption. For multiple images you then can just stack them one above the other in the report. This would make the reports smaller and more compact, and allow the text to be read easier.

Re: Individual Summary Report - Source Image Caption Positio
All valid points, but usually Source images would be much larger than your screenshot illustrates, otherwise they will often be illegible as in your screenshot.
With the larger images the narrow column effect is dramatically reduced.

True, but i find that in the context of this report having the images large enough to read is not really an option (they would fill up the page themselves), i use images as a thumbnail to make it more obvious that the source is backed up by an document and print the images seperately if i want the full image for any reason.

Re: Individual Summary Report - Source Image Caption Positio
So the image is only a thumbnail to signal that a Source document exists.
(Although that only works for image Media and not PDF or Word documents, etc).
In that case there would appear to be two workaround options to hide/shorten the Caption:

In that case there would appear to be two workaround options to hide/shorten the Caption:
- In Report Options on Sources tab, untick Show Captions with Pictures because the Caption only repeats the Source record Title plus optionally the Media Title.
- Edit Media item on Source record Media tab, so it has a short Caption Note lower left, and tick Use Note as Caption option.
