Frame Link Highlights
I am trying to highlight a section of, say, a page of christenings from parish records. I need the whole page to show the year, normally, but wish to show the actual line I am interested in as a lighter shade. I am sure this has been possible, but I have forgotten how!! Jeremy

Re: Frame Link Highlights
Jeremy, it is not very clear, but I presume you are talking about using an Image Editor on one of your Media files of a page from a parish register. The objective being to highlight the line of interest on the page, such that it stands out in Reports containing that Media image.
What Image Editor do you use? IrfanView or PhotoShop perhaps?
You could alternatively use a Detail Frame to pick out the line of interest.

No, I am trying to highlight part of the image within the media record, and I thought I could use the "link to face" tool. I go to 'Add frame link' within the media record and draw round the part I want to highlight. I am sure in the past this would lighten that area and therefore draw attention to in. I could possibly be mistaken! Jeremy

Re: Frame Link Highlights
I am afraid you are mistaken Jeremy.
The Link to Face in Individual Media tab, and Link to Detail in Source Media tab, and now in the Media Window, always did (and still does) position a rectangular Frame onto the Media image, such that on those Media tabs and in Reports just the framed portion is displayed. In other words, it is a way of displaying cropped images, but without actually cropping them.
It has never offered the option to display a lighter or darker area.

Re: Frame Link Highlights
OK, thanks - I must be thinking of something else! Or maybe I did the highlighting external to FH, as you suggested, Jeremy
