Editing Sources

Post by Hissey » 25 Oct 2015 21:50

I have a very mixed selection of sources, some from imports and some which I have created. Ideally I would like to merge some sources with other sources (eg 1861 England census with 1861 UK census) and delete some sources altogether. Is this possible and if so, how do I do it?

Welcome to the FHUG.

Yes, you can merge Sources by using Edit > Merge/Compare Records.

Yes, you can delete Sources by using Edit > X Delete.

Thanks, I have now found the view - record lists - sources link and from there onto the edit - merge etc. Perhaps obvious, but not until someone points it out!

As a newcomer I suggest you work through how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers and the suggested documentation, tutorials, and other Knowledge Base topics of interest.
