Hello, I have been given a gedcom file with over 2000 individual records and Merging/deleting entails a lot of work as I only want to produce a chart for about 120 of the records.
The Tree/diagram I want to produce is:
On the husband's side I want an “everyone diagram” which will help fill out his family.
On the wife's side I want an “Ancestor” diagram – (this family has the largest number of people so I only want to show ancestral line in this diagram.) Selecting option - husband/wife family record - to produce a chart does not fulfil my requirement.
Using “All relatives” for the husband's side and “Ancestor” for the wife's – produces what I want except it produces “two” roots at the base which I cannot hide. I have tried shrinking/over laying boxes one over the other or putting a further tree at the base but is there a more straightforward way to produce this tree?

Re: Connect All Relatives and Ancestor chart
If I understand correctly, you only want to produce a Diagram, and NOT a pruned GEDCOM file.
I suspect the best solution is to select both husband & wife, or their Family record, and create an All Relatives Diagram.
To only show the wife's Ancestors, click the descendant branch handles to hide them.
