- In the report options/Format/Format for dates if I use either Long or Compact with very long dates eg "btw 1 sep 1964 and 1 Aug 1968 (aged 11-15)" the text overprints the next column. The date column doesn't word wrap. Is there any way to change this apart from using an abbreviated date format?
Is there any way to keep pictures with the Fact/Attribute they are attached to? In my example I have the residences listed under Marriage sub heading and they take up about half a page. Each residence has one or two pictures attached to it which are printed down the right-hand side of the page. So the picture of the last residence is actually 2 pages away from the actual fact it is linked to. I can see I can print them in rows above the facts but not each picture aligned with its fact.

Re: Format Individual Summary Report Dates & Media
The Date problem is a bug that has crept into FH V6. (It did wrap OK in FH V5).
Please report that to support@family-historian.co.uk.
It is not currently possible to align Media linked to a Fact with its Report entry.
You could either report this as a bug or add it to the New Wish List Request Forum.

Be careful about linking the same Media image in too many positions, because it may then appear more times or in more places than you would like in Reports, but this can be governed by the Exclude from Reports Flag.

I noticed this in the v.6 Sample Project, but as a FH newbie wasn't sure if this was a slightly unfortunate feature or an actual bug.mitcheip wrote:In the report options/Format/Format for dates if I use either Long or Compact with very long dates eg "btw 1 sep 1964 and 1 Aug 1968 (aged 11-15)" the text overprints the next column. As a quick workaround, which might not suit everyone, I found that the overprinting could be prevented by either disabling the display of ages or adjusting the width of the columns. However, I agree that word wrapping would be a better solution.

Thanks Arthur/Mike, I have reported the text over print as a bug to Calico. Interestingly if you use the Individual Summary Report as the basis for a web site it does word wrap the dates.

It also wraps correctly in Word-processor RTF format; the explanation is that WP RTF and webpage HTML use competely different document formats.

I had the same problem, try Report Options, Page Layout and adjust Column Indents

Re: Format Individual Summary Report Dates & Media
Yes, thanks, that is the same workaround as Arthur proposed, but should not be necessary.
It was correctly wrapped in FH V5, and does still wrap in RTF and HTML format.
It is a bug in the onscreen layout, and in PDF format.
FIXED in 6.0.4
