Hi
I have just upgraded to version 6.0.1 and I'm trying to drag some text from family Search to the source record and the source keeps changing to whatever field my mouse passes over. Is this a glitch with the new version!?
Was working fine before.

Re: Web clipping not working properly
Hi Mel.
I have just switched between V6.0.0 and V6.0.1 and cannot detect any difference.
In the Family Search web pages, and probably other web sites, some text allows Drag & Drop and some text does not.
If it is supported, then when you left-click and start dragging, the cursor turns into a 'no entry' sign.
Otherwise, as you say it turns blue, and in that case select the text required until it is all highlighted in blue, then use right-click Copy, move to the FH field, and right-click Paste.
See how_to:copy_paste_and_drag_drop|> Copy & Paste and Drag & Drop.

Re: Web clipping not working properly
I am still getting this issue but it seems it is only a problem where there is more than one source for a fact/event. I have attached a screen print of my scenario. I am trying to drag the event date to the Text From Source field but for the second source starting MT. When I drag it across it seems the source changes to the first source or it changes to the Note source for the marriage entry.

BTW: You do not need to put the screenshot into a Word document, just attach the image file directly.
I think I can reproduce your problem, but I suspect it happens as you drag across the Spouse tab for Mary and accidentally hit the Born:/Died:/Marr:/Note: boxes and cause the Source Citation to be reselected.
Watch the Sources For: box in the yellow Source Citation pane as you drag across the Property Box.
The affect is most obvious if you drag up to the top of the Property Box and then down through all the Main tab boxes from Name: to the Children pane at the bottom.
If you take a more circuitous route by dragging around the top or bottom of the Main tab then everything is OK.
Maybe it is a bug, and the selection of Source Citations should be inhibited while dragging across the Main tab.
The problem does not happen if the Source Citation is chosen via the Facts tab.
I have re-installed V6.0.0 and it misbehaves in the same way.

Yes that's what happened. I will go round in a bigger circle. It wasn't too bad this morning but last night it was driving me nuts.
