Media Report in Book

Post by Ossie57 » 13 Jan 2015 13:32

Hi,

I am using Version 6 of FH and in the previous version I was able to make some adjustments to the various settings to allow me to add a Media Report to a Book which showed ONLY the image without the associated 'Title', 'Date', 'Type', 'Format' and 'File' information being printed.

I wanted the whole image e.g. a census to be shown on the whole of each page. This I was able to do successfully - sadly I have forgotten how it was done (I remember that moment when I realised how simple it was after trying many different ways) but despite my best efforts I am unable to find the information on how to do this in version 6.

Can anyone offer some help on how to remove the text beneath the image please?

I realise I can do this by going to the settings of each media report (each census return or image) but that is very time consuming and in version 5 I was able to change it so I only had to make the one change in the settings.

thanks

Ann

Ann, I have moved this to the General Usage Forum where it fits better.
The General Forum is for topics not to do with FH.

First a little housekeeping:
Could you please update your current FH Version so it appears in the right-hand panel.
At the very top of this FHUG page click User Control Panel, then on the Profile tab select Family Historian Version 6 at the bottom and click Submit.

You should still have your original Book listed under Publish > Books.
Select the Book name and click Edit.
Now select any Media Report item on the right and click Settings.
That should reveal exactly the settings you used last time.

Failing that, open a Multimedia Report and select Report Options.
On the Data Items tab, select all the Title, Data, Type, etc items you wish to Hide and click Delete.
FH will say you cannot Delete Standard items, but only Hide, but that is Ok, so click OK.
Once you have set all the Report Options to your liking the next step is important.
Use Save Report As > Custom Report Type and give it a memorable name.
Then you can use it in the future by Publish > Custom Reports and selecting that name.
OR in Books under Available Items double-click Other Report... and choose the custom report name from the popup window.
