V6 Plugins Update

Post by tatewise » 10 Dec 2014 22:52

Most of my Plugins have been updated in the Plugin Store to support the FH V6 features, while still being FH V5 compatible.

I hope the remaining three will be updated within the next week.

Hi Mike,

You were kind enough to write a plugin for me to bring Custom IDs into reports. Would you be able to update this into V6?

Best regards

Trevor

Trevor, it should still work exactly the same in FH V6 as described in Using custom IDs (10881).

Plugins only need to be updated for FH V6 if they need to support new features such as Unicode accented characters, Witness Roles, Place Records, etc.

Two more in the Plugin Store now, which only leaves Map Life Facts to be updated.

Map Life Facts V3.3 is now in the Plugiun Store just in time for Christmas :D

It does all it did before and more.

It now copes better with Emigration/Immigration To/From _PLAC fields (although not in the Web Page Maps).

It supports both FH V5, and FH V6 with Unicode and Place Records.

The Options allow Place Records to be used to hold the Locations Database for Place Fields only, so the Plugin can be used for all geocode mappings of Places. See the Plugin Help & Advice for details.

Just one word of warning: Once Place Records is chosen do NOT change the Location Plot Options again, or use Restore Defaults button, as I have discovered some bugs in that area which will be corrected ASAP.

A few other issues have arisen and the Plugin has been withdrawn from the Plugin Store for the moment.

Map Life Facts V3.4 is now in the Plugin Store hopefully with the problems fixed :)

It should now correctly pick up any geocoded locations from the Plugin database created previously with FH V5.

Its Options allow Locations From: Place Fields only to choose Database In: Place Records. It then synchronises any Place geocoding in the FH Map Window with geocoding in the Plugin.
