4.01 Welcome splash screen - broken link

Post by wellera » 08 May 2014 09:23

Hi Nick

I think the link to the AS forum is broken on 4.01 AS "welcome" splash screen. I get:

404 Page not found

I am sorry the page you required is no longer available.
You were looking for

http://www.fhug.org.uk /cgi-bin/index.cgi?action=forum&board=ancestral_sources
Ref URL = (none)

Looks like a rogue space before the /cgi-bin/ bit.
Hope this helps and thanks for all your work on AS

Andrew

A similar problem afflicts the Help > Introduction - read this first page under Warranty and Support.
Where the hyperlink Ancestral Sources discussion/help forum uses the old http://www.fhug.org.uk/cgi-bin/index.cg ... al_sources style URL.

It should be the new http://www.fhug.org.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=34 or perhaps http://www.fhug.org.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=33 style.

Thanks Andrew for pointing that out and also for your kind words. There isn't a space in the link, though the error page from FHUG shows one, the url in the address bar doesn't have a space. As Mike suggests the change from the old FHUG site to the new has broken these links. The link is also wrong in the Help menu (AS Forum). Easily fixed in the next version. Thanks Mike for pointing out the other url that needs updating. I'll do a search in case any other's are hiding anywhere.
