Hi all
I have version 4 of FH.
I seem a bit confused in trying to download and install the above and its plug ins.
is there a simple format to follow or am I behind in understanding how to?
Thanks in advance

Re: property box organiser and its associated plug ins
I have moved this to the General Usage Forum because it is more an FH problem than an FHUG website problem.
So you have downloaded the fhugdownloads:contents:property_box_tab_organiser|> Utility ~ Property Box Tab Organiser zip file.
I presume you have used Extract All to obtain the .exe and .lnk files.
Then which of the two modes of configuration have you used, and what exactly are the problems?
I am not sure what you are referring to by its plug ins, as Plugins are something else.
Do you mean fhugdownloads:propertybox|> Property Box Tab Definitions?
If so which ones have you downloaded and what exactly are the problems?
Please give explicit details of your problems, error messages, etc.

Re: property box organiser and its associated plug ins
I apologise for using the word plugins as I now know this is not about them.
I have downloaded the zip file for property box organiser but sadly after putting the files into the property box folder of family historian the exe file does not work. I get an error msvcr71.dll
I have uninstalled and re-installed but sadly no joy.
Any help with this matter greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Alan

Re: property box organiser and its associated plug ins
You did not say which of the two configuration modes you were following.
What version of Windows operating system are you using (XP, Vista, 7, 8) ?
Do NOT put the .exe and .lnk file in the ...\Family Historian\Property Box\ folder.
( Although I did try the .exe there on Windows 7 and it ran OK.)
Assuming the Default Working Folder Mode, put the .exe file in a folder within your Project such as:
My Documents\Family Historian Projects\{Projectname}\Public\Property Box\
where {Projectname} is the name of your FH Project.
Please then follow the instructions in fhugdownloads:contents:property_box_tab_organiser#default_working_folder_mode|> Utility ~ Property Box Tab Organiser.
Once the utility is running, click its Help Text button for advice on its use.
