Baptisms

Post by janefrances » 28 Oct 2013 13:49

I have started using AS for baptisms, using the Roses Act 1812 option using method 1 and after playing around with it I wondered if there was another way around what I would like to achieve. I know I am probably the only one who doesn't want to see too many facts all linked to the same source. LOL :D

For example, the baptism facts show the same dates for occupation and residence for a particular baptism and I was wondering if there was another way around this. I love using AS as it makes sure my sources are consistent and saves a lot of time. However I find I am deleting a lot of the facts and citation links afterwards to get what I would like to see and I know this can't be right.

The AS Tools > Options allow some entries to be disabled.
The General settings allow whole record and name citations to be disabled.
The Baptism settings allow Birth facts to be disabled.

But the only way to disabled Occupation and Residence facts is to avoid entering Father's/Mother's Occupation/Residence details on the Main Info and Residence tabs.

If you still need this info in the Auto Text transcript then enter it by hand in the Text box.

It is not clear why these extra facts in FH cause such concern.
They can usually be excluded from Diagrams and Reports, so only appear in the Facts tab.
